Meet Your Y/N Guide
an intro to me
This website feels incredibly more formal than what we're about to do. A blog seemed like the easiest place for me to chronicle my journey through developing the Y/N Theory. For more info on the Theory, check out that page!
Here I just wanted to introduce myself briefly. My name is Abigail, you can call me either that or ab (pronounced like the initials) or really any variation of a nickname. A lot of people on TikTok have started calling me Abi and I think that’s pretty cute lol. I graduated college into a pandemic and have been trying to figure out what the hell is happening ever since.
As I get older, it increasingly feels like life is leaving me behind. As a result of those feelings (and the general pandemic stress) I found myself drawn to various avenues to reclaim my identity and purpose. The first avenue is TikTok—that's likely where you know me from. In December 2020 I posted a viral tiktok about dressing like various y/n tropes from cheesy Wattpad stories. Suddenly, I had made this promise that I would become y/n and now here we are:
I always take a joke too far...
Another avenue I've pursued throughout the pandemic has been spirituality. I've found comfort in manifestation, the law of attraction, and astrology. In a world where perhaps nothing can be predicted, it's nice to feel like you have some agency over your life's direction. The basis of my Y/N theory is rooted in the teachings of the Law of Attraction.
Finally, throughout the pandemic I have rediscovered my childhood passion for writing. I've always been one who had an easier time with the written word than the spoken. I write jukebox musicals and fanfictions (all of which can be found on my Wattpad account) and now I’ll be writing chronicles of my experience in life on this blog.
So yeah, that's a basic introduction on myself and how I've come to this journey. I'm sick of feeling like life is passing me by. Instead, I am taking control of my story, and the story I've chosen is fanfiction lmao
